Do work that matters

Ready to make a
difference?

We don’t just fill shifts; we build connections. We’re looking for resilient, heart-led people who want to make a real difference right where they live. If you believe support should be personal, consistent, and deeply rooted in community, you’ll fit right in.

Work Close to Home

Spend less time in traffic and more time in your community. We cluster your roster within your own neighbourhood, so your 'commute' is just a quick trip down the street.

Familiar Faces

Build relationships that last. As part of a dedicated micro-team, you’ll work with the same regular clients, allowing you to create routines and connections you can count on.

Professional Respect

We respect your boundaries, pay fairly, and provide genuine local support from a management team that treats you like a person, not a line on a spreadsheet.

THE BRAMBLE way

Small, Local Teams.

We work with what we call 'Thickets', small, interconnected micro-teams of local workers supporting a small group of clients. By growing together in a tight-knit circle, we provide a natural safety net for our clients and a supportive community for you.
  • Each Thicket is hyper-local. You work where you live, alongside a team that knows the local area as well as you do.
  • Working with the same people every week means you actually get to build professional trust.
  • When life happens, and you need a day off, your Thicket has you and your clients covered.
  • We keep the communication loop small and simple. You have a direct line to your Thicket members and your coordinator.

STILL WONDERING?

Your Questions, Answered.

Applying for a new role shouldn't be a guessing game. Before you hit submit, here are the straight answers to the most common questions we get from independent workers and employees alike.

Absolutely. We highly value lived experience. Having a disability yourself can bring an incredible level of empathy, understanding, and genuine connection to your support work. We are a proudly inclusive employer and will work with you to ensure you have the right environment and any adjustments you need to thrive in your role.

We don't believe in the "random roster" approach. You will be matched based on three key things: geography, practical skills/training, and compatibility. First, we keep your shifts local to minimise your travel. Second, we ensure that your specific training and experience (such as manual handling or complex personal care) align perfectly with the participant's physical needs. Finally, we look at your personality and preferences to pair you with clients where a strong, genuine connection can grow.

Support is as unique as the individuals we work with. The specific tasks will depend entirely on the participant's individual needs and goals, as well as your own skills and preferences. We always work in a way that promotes the client's independence, dignity, and wellbeing. Depending on the client match, your day could include assisting with personal care, meal preparation, keeping the household running smoothly, or providing transportation and companionship for community activities.

New Brambles complete an in-depth induction that covers our key processes and values. You'll have access to ongoing training opportunities throughout the year to continually enhance your skills and knowledge. Where required for specific participant support, Bramble provides targeted training so you know exactly how to support your client's unique needs with confidence and safety. To make things as flexible as possible for you, most of our training can be completed online.

You are never out there on your own.

You will have the backing of your small, collaborative Neighbourhood Team, access to a free Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for your own wellbeing, and our dedicated worker app to keep your day organised.

Most importantly, you will have genuine, on-the-ground support from a local management team that actually picks up the phone when you need advice or guidance.

We know that when you are ready to work, you don't want to be stuck in endless admin limbo. If you already meet our essential compliance requirements (such as your NDIS Worker Screening and WWCC), our interview and onboarding process is fast and efficient. We aim to have you fully inducted, matched with your Neighbourhood Team, and ready for your first shifts within a couple of weeks of your application.

If you do not meet our essential compliance requirements, onboarding will only be as fast as the application and approval process.

That depends on your role and how you prefer to work.

  • Full-time & Part-time: You’ll have a set roster with guaranteed hours as specified in your contract.

  • Casual: You have the ultimate flexibility to choose your shifts. While we find that 15+ hours a week provides the best consistency for our participants and your own routine, there is no mandatory minimum.

  • Contractors: You manage your own schedule and caseload entirely.

We believe work should fit around your life, not the other way around. Whether you are a student, a parent, or looking to build a full roster, we work with your availability. There are no mandatory weekend quotas or forced shift changes.

It is completely seamless.

Once your client (or their nominee) lets us know they would like to transition to Bramble with you, we handle the heavy lifting. We take care of the new service agreements, NDIS compliance, and set up their invoicing. You simply keep providing the same great support, but without the headache of chasing payments or managing the paperwork yourself.

If your matched client requires community access or transport to appointments, you will need to use your own insured vehicle. However, we ensure you are never out of pocket. You are paid a per-kilometre allowance for any travel with the client during your shift, and, as an employee, you are also paid for your travel time and kilometres between clients.

Your safety and confidence are our top priorities. If a client’s needs change, or you ever feel unequipped or unsafe during a shift, our management team is just a phone call away. We don't believe in forcing workers into environments where they feel uncomfortable. We will step in, reassess the client's support plan, and provide immediate guidance, extra training, or reassign the shift if necessary.

Absolutely. While many of our team love the ultimate flexibility of casual work, we actively want to reward reliable, dedicated Brambles. Once you have settled into your Neighbourhood Team and built a consistent roster with your regular clients, we are very happy to discuss transitioning you to a part-time contract for greater financial security and leave accrual.
